Bin Babe Interview with Karen Markham
Tell us about yourself.
My husband and I have lived in the Village for ten years. I am a retired teacher, having taught in the Cherry Creek School District for 30 years. I have two married daughters and two adorable grandchildren (I’m a little biased) ages 1 and 2.
Describe how you learned about Bin Blessed and your involvement with the group.
My neighbor, Beverly Fellows, introduced me to the group this past summer and invited me to an event. I have had the pleasure of helping stuff Halloween bags and wrapping crockpots. The most impactful thing I have been a part of is touring the There With Care facility and learning more about this wonderful organization.
What do you enjoy most about Bin Blessed?
I feel so fortunate to be included in this wonderful group of people who support There With Care. I have wanted to become more involved in volunteering and doing more for others now that I am retired. Being an educator, I have always had a love of helping children. Being able to be a part of a group that supports families of critically ill children means a lot to me. I look forward to my continued involvement with Bin Blessed.
